5 Star training Surf with ASSR

The OA crew are three days into a hectic 11 day schedule. This weekend we delivered the new UKCC Advanced Surf Safety & Rescue course (ASSR) as well as the new 5 star surf training. The 5 star training was being moderated by OA friend Robin Ruddock. Tomorrow we hit the road for our Waveski & Surf Kayak development trip. 5 days of high level coaching and pumpin surf by looks of things. Then its off to the teacher training college Stranmillis for Sport NI physical literacy course! keep er lit!

All students at a solid level. A few tweaks and some consolidation time and these guys will be great advanced surf leaders.

Here is some footage from the recent Ocean Addicts waveski & surf kayak coaching camp. Really good group of people on the course so made it a very enjoyable week. The footage is from sessions where students were working on various skills such as getting air, cut backs and re-entries. Plenty of spills so we know they were trying!
