Not long to go!

Not long now until we leave for the World Waveski Titles in Portugal.
Only three of the Irish Waveski Team are competing this year, Mark Taylor, Guillame Desprez and me.

It should be a very interesting comp. First World Champs in Europe since Bakio in 2001 (I think). Most of the young European riders would have been as young as 9 or 10 back in 2001, if not younger. It will make quality viewing watching the young first time world competitors competing against guys and girls that have been on the scene for years and who are no strangers to the pressures of  World title competition.

Ocean Addicts Coaching & Development week

Here is some footage from the recent Ocean Addicts waveski & surf kayak coaching camp. Really good group of people on the course so made it a very enjoyable week. The footage is from sessions where students were working on various skills such as getting air, cut backs and re-entries. Plenty of spills so we know they were trying!
