Recently Qualified Lifeguards

Congratulations to the recently qualified RLSS national beach lifeguards! 7 candidates took the assessment all made the grade after a long day of pool, open water work, basic 1st aid, CPR & life support examination. Paul Darby of Ocean Wise did the training and I had the pleasure of assessing them through Ocean Addicts.

4 candidates also took the additional  'malibu board' module, successfully I may add!

Here is some footage from the recent Ocean Addicts waveski & surf kayak coaching camp. Really good group of people on the course so made it a very enjoyable week. The footage is from sessions where students were working on various skills such as getting air, cut backs and re-entries. Plenty of spills so we know they were trying!
